What to plant for the month of April?

Do you want to bring something new to your garden? Almost everyone has plants in the ground at home, but water lilies are still a less common water crop, yet they have many advantages. For example, you will never have to water them again. Here’s how to grow it!

Choosing the right plant

Many oxygenating plants remain under the surface of the water and have very little interest. However, they are useful in aquariums because they bring oxygen to the fish. If you decide to embellish a pond or a water feature at home, choose species that have a submerged part and an emerged part with flowers. For example the Water Lily!

Water Lily Description

flowers-water-lily.jpg

It is an aquatic plant with leaf and floating flower which is the size of a man or a table. With a sweet fragrance with round foliage up to 10" in diameter. Its flowering starts in summer and lasts almost all the Autumn. It multiplies by floating seeds too. It is best planted in a private pond or lake because of its overgrowth in the wild.

How to plant the Water Lily?

Step 1 - Choose a pot larger than the one that contains the new plant.
Step 2 - Remove the plant you have purchased.
Step 3 - Plant it in the new container with a rich and heavy soil.
Step 4 - Add gravel on top of the soil.
Step 5 - Water the plant and let it drain.
Step 6 - Install the plant in a deeper water depth.

Some say that the Water Lily is a symbol of all that is true, beautiful and represents fortune. Plant your water lilies for its charms and aromas!💪
